The value of a simple bet, with six numbers marked, is R$5.00. The player can choose from 6 to 20 numbers, increasing the chances of winning according to the number of numbers selected. However, the price of the bet also increases proportionally.
Prize redemption: procedures and documentation
Anyone who wins any prize can withdraw the amount at accredited lottery outlets or Caixa Econômica Federal branches, depending on the amount received. According to the rules, authorized lottery outlets can directly pay out prizes with a gross value of up to R$2,259.20.
To make the withdrawal, the winner must present an identity document with CPF and proof of the winning bet.
Odds of winning the Mega-Sena
The chances of winning the Mega-Sena vary depending on the number of numbers bet. When betting on 6 numbers, the probability of winning them all is 1 in 50,063,860.
With 15 numbers, which is the maximum allowed outside of a syndicate, the chance becomes 1 in 10,003. This way, the value of the bet also increases significantly.
