Lottopar, an agency linked to the Secretariat of Administration and Social Security, announced the implementation of Ordinance No. 008/2024, which establishes the State Policy for Responsible Gaming.

This measure aims to ensure that lottery and fixed-odd betting operators comply with the standards established for the maintenance and promotion of Lottopar.

The new policy covers not only what is explained in the ordinance, but also follows international recommendations, federal and state standards. This demonstrates the commitment of the State of Paraná to ensuring a safe gaming environment.

Therefore, the aim is not only to minimize the possible negative effects of the activity, but also to promote practices that encourage a responsible approach to gambling.

“This policy reinforces the commitment of the Government of Paraná to offering a state lottery with the highest international standards of security and responsibility in lottery betting, and Lottopar, as the granting body, will monitor that these operations are in line with our State Policy of Responsible Gaming”, said Lottopar’s CEO, Daniel Romanowski.

Lottopar recently joined CIBELAE

Furthermore, Lottopar took a significant step towards adopting international best practices by joining the Ibero-American State Corporation for Betting and Lotteries (CIBELAE) and the World Lottery Association (WLA).

In May 2023, the entity joined CIBELAE. In November of the same year, it became the first state lottery in Brazil to be approved as a member of the WLA.

These entities are recognized as global authorities on Safe Gaming and Responsible Gaming. Therefore, with these measures, the municipality of Paraná seeks to implement and defend the highest ethical principles in safe gaming and responsible gaming.

Recently, Lottopar emphasized its role in collaborating with the Government of Paraná in the development of public policies. Therefore, the State Lottery will continue to allocate a significant part of the resources collected for investments in public security, popular housing and social actions.
