How to participate and play in Mega-Sena
Those interested in competing for R$76 million can purchase their tickets on Loterias Caixa’s electronic channels, such as the website and app.
So, just log in with your CPF and six-digit password.
The Mega-Sena game consists of matching six drawn numbers. In addition to the main range, there are prizes for those who match 4 or 5 numbers out of the 60 available on the betting wheel.
Draws and bets on Mega-Sena
Mega-Sena draws are held three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The minimum bet, with 6 numbers, costs R$5.00.
The bet value increases according to the number of numbers chosen, offering more chances of winning the desired prize.
Awards and accumulation
Currently, the gross prize pool corresponds to 43.35% of the collection, distributed among the correct guesses from Sena (6 numbers drawn), Quina (5 numbers) and Quadra (4 numbers).
If there is no winner in any range, the value accumulates for the next competition in the respective prize pool.
Redemption and payment deadlines for prizes
Winners have 90 days after the draw to claim their prizes. After this period, the amounts are sent to the National Treasury for investment in the Higher Education Student Financing Fund (FIES).
Winners can receive their prizes at accredited lottery outlets or at Caixa branches.
Therefore, payments above R$2,112.00 are exclusive to Caixa branches.
Furthermore, prizes starting at R$10,000.00 are processed within at least two business days after presentation at a Caixa branch.
