The probability of winning the Mega-Sena
The chances of winning in each Mega-Sena contest vary according to the number of dozens selected and the type of bet placed. In the simple bet, in which only six tens are chosen at a cost of R$5, the probability of hitting the main prize is 1 in 50,063,860, according to information provided by Caixa Econômica Federal.
On the other hand, when placing a bet with a maximum of 15 tens, which has a value of BRL 22,522.50, the probability of hitting the prize is 1 in 10,003, according to Caixa data.
