American wins R$ 10 million in the lottery by playing the same numbers six times

An American secured a much more comfortable life after winning the lottery six times with the same tens, which assured him a prize of US$ 1,950,000 (R$ 10,155,990), in addition to a payment of US$ 25 thousand ( BRL 130,000 at the current exchange rate) annually while he is alive.

Raymond Roberts lives in the state of Massachusetts, in the United States, and said in an interview with the state lottery website that he had the “intuition” to bet six times on the same numbers for the Lucky for Life lottery draw promoted on December 14th.

The man stated that he has been playing the same numbers in the lottery for more than two decades, with numbers that are a mixture of birthdays of close family members. Each prize earned him US$390,000 (R$2 million), which he opted to receive with discounts in a single payment.

As for the sixth prize, he preferred installments of the aforementioned US$ 25,000 per year, for the rest of his life (or 20 years). Raymond also stated that the first expense of the jackpot will be with the purchase of a new motorcycle!

Chance to become a millionaire with Mega da Virada

The biggest prize in the history of Mega da Virada is estimated at R$ 450 million. The draw will be held by Caixa Econômica Federal on December 31st and bets can be placed from November 16th.

As in other special contests, the prize at Mega da Virada does not accumulate, that is, if no bet matches all six numbers, the prize will be divided among those who match five numbers and so on, according to the prize ranges.

Last year, the Mega da Virada prize was 325.2 million reais. The jackpot was divided into two winning bets, each receiving 162.6 million reais.
