Scientific Games has signed a ten-year contract to power the Vermont Lottery. In addition, the contract to offer technology can be extended for another decade.
Scientific Games’ platforms, retail solutions and gaming services will modernize the lottery, with the goal of maximizing the revenue of the State of Vermont Education Fund.
The company was selected based on its high overall score and its track record of performance in generating maximum profits for lottery payee programs, according to Scientific Games. And, it will provide its open-architecture enterprise gaming system and a central communications network, along with retail terminals and self-service machines throughout the state’s retail network.
“Scientific Games is honored for the trust the Vermont Lottery has placed in our company, our people and our products to support the lottery’s mission to responsibly maximize growth over the next 10 years and create more funding for programs that make Vermont a great place to live,” said Pat McHugh of Scientific Games.
McHugh added, “Our relentless commitment to innovation and alignment with our lottery customers’ business plans has positioned Scientific Games as the fastest growing lottery systems provider in the industry.”
Scientific Games will also provide operating system and gaming services
Scientific Games will also provide turnkey operating system and gaming services. As a result, the Vermont Lottery will be able to take advantage of the company’s retail services to develop new channels and enhance existing media such as marketing and gaming products.
“After an extremely thorough evaluation of the proposals, Scientific Games emerged as the right choice to modernize the Vermont Lottery and offer exceptional player experiences. Our retailers will be equally pleased with the gaming system and the support they will receive,” said Sabina Haskell, Deputy Commissioner of the Vermont Lottery Department.
