Brasília's R$4.50 bet earns R$35 million at Mega-Sena

Brasília has a new millionaire. A bet made in Lago Sul hit the six numbers of the Mega-Sena and earned, alone, R$ 35,714,240.27. The competition 2416 of the modality had the following dozens drawn this Wednesday: 06-07-11-26-37-57.

The prize had been accumulated for eight draws. According to information from Caixa Econômica Federal, the bet was made at Lotérica Onze da Sorte (SHIS QI 11, Bloco O). The lucky one opted for a simple bet of just six numbers.

Also according to the bank, throughout the national territory, 86 tickets matched five dozen and pocketed R$ 39,895.60 each. While 5,658 players guessed four Mega-Sena numbers and won R$866.28.

According to the calculations announced by Caixa, if the winner of the Federal District (DF) chooses to put all the money obtained in a savings account, he will receive in the first month around 125,000 reais in income.

An article by Correio Braziliense, published on Wednesday, highlighted that this was the second time that a bettor in the federal capital guessed the numbers of the main draw of the Mega-Sena this year. On March 27, a bet made on electronic channels in Brasília alone received a jackpot of R$ 27,070,907.55.

About Mega-Sena

Mega-Sena grants millions of reais to the lucky one who hits the six drawn numbers. You can still win prizes by guessing four or five dozen out of the 60 available on the betting wheel.

To compete, the player must mark from six to 15 numbers, and may even let the system choose the numbers (Surpresinha) and/or compete with the same bet for 2, 4 or 8 consecutive contests (Teimosinha). Mega-Sena draws take place twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
