Loterj recently launched Notice 02/2024, aimed at accrediting companies interested in operating the numerical prediction lottery in the State of Rio de Janeiro.
This modality, also known as “multiple chances”, will be explored in a competitive regime, allowing the participation of several qualified companies.
Accreditation process
The new notice paves the way for specialized companies to become accredited and operate the numerical prediction lottery modality.
The Rio de Janeiro State Lottery is looking for operators capable of carrying out everything from creating and printing tickets, to selling and paying prizes to winners.
Exploration will be granted to all companies that meet the technical and qualification criteria defined in the notice, with no limit to the number of accredited companies.
Accredited companies must provide a full range of services related to the operation of the lottery. This includes creating games, printing and distributing tickets, as well as carrying out draws and validating prizes.
Companies will also be responsible for developing and executing advertising campaigns to promote lottery products.
Requirements for participation
Both national and foreign companies can participate in the accreditation, as long as they comply with all legal and technical requirements established in the notice.
Furthermore, there is the possibility for companies to form consortiums to apply, increasing their chances of meeting the requirements of the process.
Fee and adherence to the payment system contracted by Loterj
Accredited companies must pay a fee of 5% on the GGR (Gross Gaming Revenue) of the numerical prediction lottery modality by the fifth business day of the month following the month of operation.
Furthermore, after signing the Accreditation Term, companies have up to five working days to join the Payment System provider contracted by Loterj.
Therefore, this system will be responsible for processing payments relating to bets and prizes for lottery products.
The accreditation will be valid for 10 years, counting from the publication of the Accreditation Term in the Official Gazette of Rio de Janeiro (DOE/RJ).
Notice 02/2024 also provides for the possibility of early termination of the contract, according to the conditions established in the document.
