Betnacional, part of the NSX Group, has taken an important step towards regulation in Brazil. The company filed a license application with the Betting Management System (Sigap) of the Ministry of Treasury.
The intention is to obtain the necessary license to operate in the sports betting and fixed-odd online gaming market by the end of this year.
NSX Group close to receiving operating authorization
Betnacional already has a CNPJ and operates within Brazilian laws. Now, the next step is the payment of a fixed grant of R$30 million. This amount will allow Betnacional, in addition to its current operations, to also use the Mr.JackBet and Pagbet brands.
João Studart, CEO of NSX Group, highlighted the importance of the license: “Obtaining the Brazilian license is a significant milestone for us. This demonstrates our responsibility for the operation and integrity of betting. Therefore, our expectation is to receive this authorization by the end of 2024, with authorization to operate in our country starting in 2025.”
From January 1st, only those with authorization will be able to operate in the Brazilian market. But, close to the deadline (August 20), the Ministry of Finance received requests from five other bookmakers operating in Brazil.
