In addition to the cases of manipulation of football matches in Brazil due to sports betting, the collegiate will also investigate the accounting inconsistencies of Americanas and the actions of the MST (Movement of Landless Rural Workers).
The CPI of Sports Betting will analyze match-fixing in professional football matches and will have 34 members and an equal number of substitutes. The other two committees will have 27 members each and an equal number of alternates.
The compositions of the CPIs follow the proportionality of the size of the blocks and party benches. The regiment allows the operation of up to 5 CPIs at the same time in the Chamber of Deputies.

Initially, the assessment focused only on three matches from the last round of last year’s Série B, but now includes games from the first division of the Brasileirão 2022 and also from this season’s State Championships. This case is serving to intensify the debate on the regulatory process of the sports betting sector in the country.
