Sérgio Ricardo Calderini Rosa is named the new secretary of SECAP

Last Friday, the 28th, Sérgio Ricardo Calderini Rosa was officially appointed to assume the role of Secretary of Evaluation, Planning, Energy and Lottery of the Special Secretariat for the Treasury and Budget of the Ministry of Economy (SECAP). The ordinance of the Minister of the Civil House, Ciro Nogueira was published in the Official Gazette of the Union.

Calderini was acting as director of the Directorate for Articulation and Strengthening of Vocational and Technological Education of the Ministry of Education. He is a career server in the post of Specialist in Public Policy and Government Management (EPPGG), having worked at the Ministry of Economy, in the budget and finance segments; in the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, in the monitoring and follow-up of plans, programs and projects.

In addition, he has extensive consulting experience. Sérgio Ricardo Calderini Rosa holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1997), a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the London Business School, University of London (2004) and a PhD in Public Administration and Government (Line: Politics and Public Sector Economics) by the EAESP of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2011).

Sérgio Ricardo Calderini Rosa replaces Gustavo Guimarães at SECAP

He arrives to replace Gustavo José Guimarães e Souza, who was occupying the secretary of SECAP since the middle of last year. According to information from the Federal Government, Guimarães is a career server at the Central Bank (BC) and an economist graduated from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), with a master’s degree in Economics from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and a PhD also in Economics from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). University of Brasília (UnB), with a doctoral internship at Columbia University.

Guimarães’ departure was announced as ‘at the request’ of the official himself, who is quoted to take on a new position outside the Federal Government.
