Chester Racecourse has revealed a new partnership with Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet. As part of this partnership, the bookmaker will become the main sponsor of the Autumn Racing Food & Drink Weekend, scheduled for this Friday (13th) and Saturday (14th), in the United Kingdom.
The event will now be known as the Virgin Bet Autumn Racing Food & Drink Weekend, with a race day on Saturday. The card will feature seven races and a prize pool of £290,000 ($379,000).
Virgin Bet strengthens presence in racing with sponsorship of Chester Racecourse
The bookmaker and LiveScore Bet will sponsor three major races during the event, including the Listed Stand Cup Stakes and the Watergate Cup.
This partnership builds on an existing relationship established last month. At the time, the brands sponsored two races at Powells Jewelery Ladies Day.
So, in an effort to improve security, Virgin Bet’s personal security partner is WalkSafe. The company will also integrate sponsorship into the race weekend.
Commenting on the new deal, Dominic Vye, Marketing Director at Virgin Bet, stated: “We are thrilled to announce Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet’s sponsorship of Chester Racecourse.”
“As the oldest racecourse still in operation, Chester holds a special place in the hearts of racing enthusiasts. So we’re excited to be part of the Autumn Racing Food & Drink Weekend and help deliver an unparalleled sports betting experience.”
Kate Dawson, Commercial Director at Chester Racecourse, added: “Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet are committed to leading in horse racing and so we are naturally delighted to announce their partnerships with our racecourse.”
“The Saturday of our Autumn Racing Food & Drink Weekend features a fantastic card of racing, with the Virgin Bet Stand Cup Stakes and LiveScore Bet Watergate Cup being broadcast on ITV and Sky Sports Racing.”
“There are many opportunities to be explored through this partnership. Therefore, we look forward to working with Virgin Bet to bring them to fruition.”
