Considered the main betting event in the country, BiS SiGMA South America 2026 took place from April 7th to 9th, in São Paulo. The Transamerica Expo Center was once again the venue chosen to host the convention. According to the event’s co-founder, Carlos Cardama, the team was extremely happy with the result obtained.
“We held a great fair, consolidated and with firm arguments. We are very happy to be able to see the public. Lots of information, fun, being here, having a good time and, most importantly for a businessman: doing business”, he declared.
During the event, Cardama participated in a panel focused on the potential of physical casinos in Brazil. With a project being processed in the National Congress, he was not so confident in relation to the legalization of gambling in the country.
“Expectations and enthusiasm remain intact. I’ve been fighting for a law for 28 years, but I’ll be honest: I don’t know if it will happen. So, I don’t want to deceive myself”, he explained.
However, Carlos Cardama highlighted that this vertical can boost the economy, boost Brazilian tourism and generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs.
“Bringing the casinos will be the solution for many things, especially for the population, because we will have jobs. Honest, qualified and professional work”, he concluded.
