The eSports betting market is growing in Brazil, and ODDIN.GG is focused on this segment. According to Mauricio Lima, the company is working in partnership with regulated operators.

“We’re focused on eSports, and it’s on the agenda because it’s a new market for betting, and not all companies understand how it works. We’ve been helping operators not only with our product but also with consulting,” he stated.

Lima emphasized that this work involves explaining how the market works, who the target audience is, and what the main games are, such as Counter-Strike (CS) and Valorant. “We’ve been doing some really good work with regulators to ensure that regulations benefit the betting ecosystem as a whole,” he stated.

The ODDIN.GG representative also highlighted that traditional sports, such as soccer and basketball, have had a consolidated structure for decades, with confederations and organized tournaments. Esports, on the other hand, are a more recent phenomenon, dependent on publishers, and have a completely different ecosystem.

“Our work has two main fronts. The first is educational—explaining how it works, who the stakeholders are, and what the audience profile is. The second involves selecting quality products to serve this diverse audience, because it’s not the same audience that watches football. This is important so that operators can offer a quality offering,” he noted.

Company news for eSports

According to Lima, ODDIN.GG has launched two major new products for the eSports betting segment: BetBuilder and BetPeek . He explained that BetBuilder is already a common product in traditional sports because it allows for multiple betting options within markets.

“We do this in eSports. We allow consumers to select multiple betting options and offer combo bets, both pre-match and live,” he explained.

Regarding BetPeek, the executive compared eSports broadcasts to soccer broadcasts: “An eSports broadcast is very similar to a soccer match. There’s a camera and a professional responsible for controlling the entire live broadcast. In other words, you depend on them to watch the match.”

He added: “We partner with tournament organizers, providing official data, and a broadcast system where consumers can choose how they want to watch the game. They can see any player’s perspective. This helps with betting decisions. This is an innovation we bring with our own technology.”
