SiGMA is turning the page on a new chapter. The company is gearing up for another addition to its global events calendar in 2026. SiGMA North America is coming to Mexico City in September.

The event, according to information from SiGMA, will serve as a powerful gateway to the Latin American and North American markets.

Marking a new chapter in SiGMA’s international expansion, the event positions Mexico as a rising hub in the global gaming and technology scene. It also expands SiGMA’s presence in one of the most promising regions in the Americas.

Opportunities and the new iGaming landscape in Mexico

The United States has a robust conference ecosystem. However, Mexico has long been overlooked, despite its population of over 120 million.

Furthermore, the region has a relentless entrepreneurial spirit. This factor is driving the rapid expansion of the iGaming market and its strategic position connecting North and South America.

Numbers attest to the facts

The online gaming market in Mexico is projected to more than double, reportedly from US$1.75 billion in 2023 to US$3.53 billion by 2030. In this sense, the online casino segment also stands out for its rapid growth.

Horizon Databook, a leading portal for market statistics and reports, forecasts the market to reach USD 287.8 million by 2030. That too at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 14.3% between 2025 and 2030.

With over 650 casinos, the land-based sector also remains strong, with the land-based industry registering a steady 2.8% increase since 2023. Leading the country, Mexico City alone boasts 96 casinos, but it is closely followed by Baja California and Tamaulipas.

Mexico, with its rich culture and growing technology and gaming scenes, is perfectly positioned to become the heart of iGaming innovation in the region. This makes it a natural next step for SiGMA Group’s expansion.

Mexico in a special moment and SiGMA’s presence in the local industry

“We’re not just expanding, we’re evolving strategically,” SiGMA said in a statement. By positioning SiGMA North America six months apart from our established South American event, the brand aims to create a space that allows partners, exhibitors and attendees to maximize their presence in both markets.

With unbeatable air connections, both regional and international, the country offers the perfect meeting point where Spanish-speaking Americans and Latinos converge on a global stage, thus fostering powerful new partnerships and international collaboration.

Attendees can expect the signature SiGMA experience: top-notch networking, cutting-edge content, an elite exhibit space and unforgettable entertainment, all in one of the most vibrant cities in the Americas.

Mexico City International Airport, which serves 30 million passengers annually, offers direct flights to major cities in the U.S. and Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Another option is Felipe Ángeles International Airport, a newer construction that also offers domestic routes from Bogotá and Monterrey to Panama City.
