BiS SiGMA Americas 2025 was held between April 8 and 10 in São Paulo (SP). The edition broke attendance records and became historic for having occurred right after the implementation of online gambling regulations. The CEO of the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsive Gambling (EBAC), Ricardo Magri, highlighted the growth of the event and the strengthening of actions aimed at responsible gambling.
“BiS is no less than the major events abroad in terms of scale and size. There is no one from outside the Brazilian market who does not arrive here feeling as if they are stepping into the Malta Convention Center or the ICE. You see the same people, the same companies and the same business force. In terms of generating business, BiS SiGMA is the unbeatable event in the entire Americas region,” he said.
During the event, EBAC celebrated an important achievement. Created in 2023 with the aim of helping the sector and offering support to bettors, the company received the award for “Best Responsible Gaming Initiative” during the BiS Awards 2025 ceremony.
“EBAC already has a certain notoriety in the sector, and this award is an industry recognition – the first in EBAC’s history. In addition, we have the Compulsafe Seal, which is a program in which we place users who have a little more complication in the area of compulsive gambling disorder,” he emphasized.
Ricardo Magri also spoke about the launch of LATAM Lounge, considered an evolution of the Brazilian Lounge initiative. “It wouldn’t make much sense to have a Brazilian space in Brazil. So, Brazilian Lounge took on a different connotation and I decided to place EBAC within LATAM Lounge, strengthening both projects at the same time,” he concluded.
