Florianópolis (SC) hosted one of the last meetings in the iGaming segment this year. The city hosted IGI Expo 2024 last week. Fellipe Fraga, from EstrelaBet, was one of the panelists on the first day of the convention.
Asked about his presence in the capital of Santa Catarina, he reinforced that the city is a reference for the entire iGaming community. “There are a lot of companies based here, studios that are being created, a lot of good people leave Floripa to feed our industry with quality.”
“It’s great to have an organization here, creating more reference for the city. I hope to see more events here, the city is beautiful! I hope to be able to stay a few more days at the next opportunity,” he added.
Partnerships with football clubs
Speaking of Santa Catarina, EstrelaBet sponsored the State’s only representative in Série A of the Brasileirão in 2024. However, Criciúma ended up being relegated and will compete in the Second Division next season.
“Football in Santa Catarina is always a reference for the national scene. It’s a shame that we won’t have representatives in Series A next year. We suffer with the tricolor fans with this drop to Series B”, he stated.
“The idea is that the partnerships continue. I can’t give many details at the moment, but our objective, with Brazilian football as a whole, is to reinforce our identity with Brazilian customers, who are passionate about football and betting”, he added.
EstrelaBet in 2025
As the year comes to an end, the industry is preparing for the implementation of the new rules from January 1st. According to Fraga, EstrelaBet is confident of starting “January with the license in hand and living this adventure that is the regulated market, something we have dreamed of for a long time”.
Finally, Fellipe Fraga preferred to maintain suspense about the bookmaker’s plans for next year, however, he highlighted that the brand “will continue to do great work, with the aim of improving our product for our client. Just wait and the star will continue to shine”, he concluded.
