The CEO and co-founder of Pay4Fun, Leonardo Baptista, classified 2024 as “Brazil’s year, of preparation for 2025 and regulation”. Therefore, he stated that it is important to attend the sector’s main events around the world.
“The provider needs to be present in everyone. We have many local customers, and it was important to be in Malta”, he said, referring to SiGMA Europe, held in November.
Expectations for 2025
January 1, 2025 promises to be a turning point for the Brazilian online betting industry with the arrival of the legal framework. Therefore, the expectation is that the situation is already fully defined so that players can act with transparency.
“What we really expect for Brazil in 2025 is a serious and well-regulated market. A market where people put their consciences on hold and stop going the wrong way, operating in the correct way. The example needs to come from within”, he stated.
The executive highlighted that the market has always asked for rules, however, he made a reservation. “I hope we have a government also working seriously, operating in accordance with the regulations that were written, with an open reporting channel and the Central Bank working together to close payment channels that are not the correct ones”.
However, Leonardo Baptista was optimistic about the future of Brazilian industry. “I’m really excited for next year and looking forward to seeing what happens,” he concluded.
