Malta’s Prime Minister Robert Abela visited SiGMA Europe, held this week at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH), highlighting Malta’s active role in the iGaming and digital technology sectors.
Abela was welcomed by event organizers including SiGMA Group founder Eman Pulis, CEO Emily Micallef and CFO Clive Terribile.

During his visit, Abela visited several stands representing important players in the iGaming industry. He spoke to several exhibitors such as Chilli Partners, 22Bet, Pin-Up Global, Altenar and EveryMatrix, where he met with executives to discuss their offerings and activities in Malta.
Abela also visited Aviatrix and Smartsoft. The visit continued with stops at Digitain, Alea, Amusnet, EGT Digital and iGaming Academy, where he learned more about their programs and recent educational advances.
The Prime Minister was also at the stands of Wicked Games, The Kingdom Bank, BETC, Soft2Bet, Payment Center and BC Games.

In this way, Abela’s visit to SiGMA Europe reflected his administration’s interest in supporting the key role of the iGaming industry as part of Malta’s tourism and business economy.
In a recent speech to the Malta Parliament, Prime Minister Abela highlighted the role of SiGMA, describing it as a strategic driver for Malta’s position in digital and technological innovation.
He highlighted the importance of the event for the diversification of Malta’s tourism industry, by attracting high-value visitors and investors and reinforcing the island’s position as a European hub for digital sectors.
