Exclusivo: Witoldo Hendrich fala do SiGMA Europe e do plano de internacionalizar o Brazilian Lounge Podcast

SiGMA Europe 2023 took place last week, bringing together representatives from the gambling market from around the world. The iGaming Brazil portal covered the event and exclusively interviewed Witoldo Hendrich, partner at Online iPS.

Hendrich therefore took stock of the conference held in Valletta, Malta. “Live as always, lots of movement at our stand outside. It has a more relaxed atmosphere, people move around and it attracts more conversations.”

“The event is bigger than last year and is receiving more business. A positive balance”, he added.

Furthermore, he analyzed the year of Online iPS. “A very interesting year, not specifically for the betting industry. We managed to take important steps in other industries, structuring a new system internally, developing our own software”, he said.

Regulation in Brazil

Asked about how his business partners in the United States view the long regulatory process in Brazil, Witoldo Hendrich explained that “they have a different understanding of Brazil”, adding that “it is a big question mark. The thing moves, stops suddenly, goes in another direction, a third element appears”.

But, he warned: “we have to pay attention to what is happening, so as not to take a false step, move in one direction and, later, discover that we need to go back to everything.”

Witoldo Hendrich talks about the plan to take the podcast abroad

Witoldo Hendrich is one of the presenters of the Brazilian Lounge Podcast, one of the media arms of the Brazilian Lounge initiative, an area aimed at national players at the main events on the planet.

With weekly episodes, the podcast emerged with the intention of showing a more humanized approach to relevant figures in the Brazilian gambling market. According to Hendrich, the planning took around eight months and the medium-term objective is to promote interviews with personalities from abroad.

“I’m really enjoying it, we have a plan to expand to the international market. We want to talk to people who live abroad, but we still need to mature the project to be able to take it outside the country”, he concluded.
