Exclusive Ricardo Magri comments on Brazilian Lounge and project to encourage responsible gaming

The iGaming consultant, Ricardo Magri, participated in the last edition of BiS SiGMA Americas, held in São Paulo between the 14th and 18th of June. In an interview with the iGaming Brazil portal, he spoke about the expansion of the event and other relevant initiatives for the Brazilian market, such as the Brazilian Lounge and EBAC (Empresa Brasileira de Apoio ao Compulsivo).

Regarding this year’s event, the consultant reinforced the ‘international feel’ in a structure “too big, all relevant brands, full of foreigners. The feeling is that we finally reached a level that was already due to our market”.

In addition, Ricardo Magri spoke about the Brazilian Lounge project, described as “a space for the Brazilian way of doing business at fairs abroad”, adding that “Brazilians will be able to publicize their business aimed at Brazil also to the public that is interested in the Brazil at a fair. Outsiders who have an eye on Brazil and want to do business will be able to use the Brazilian Lounge at events”.

Responsible gaming

Ricardo Magri also highlighted EBAC’s objective: “it tries to fight the trait that the Brazilian industry has of encouraging the player so much to the point that he is unable to control the healthy level of his participation with the game. And prevent the player from having a profile that could lead to compulsion that does not bring anything good for the industry”.

“EBAC aims at the best practices in the world in an environment of self-regulation (because we still don’t have a regulatory body), adding: “it is a matter of the industry’s care for the environment in which it will be inserted, it will reflect the brand and the consumer , the two largest non-financial assets of any gaming operation”.
