Betwinner’s PR manager, João Vaz participated in the main event of the sports betting and iGaming industry in the world, ICE London 2022. During the convention, the executive spoke exclusively with the iGaming Brazil portal and advanced the company’s plans to the Latin American and Brazilian markets for 2022 and beyond.
According to Vaz, the intention is to mark Betwinner’s presence in the region and carry out even more actions with the official ambassador, former soccer player Roberto Carlos. “We want to use this Brazilian football reference and little by little expand to other Latin American countries”, but the company is very focused on Brazil.
In addition, the manager assured that some surprises should be presented to the public soon, such as a campaign promoted in Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and São Paulo. Another novelty will be an action starring Roberto Carlos that should be launched in various media. “We will have more news when we are close to the World Cup”, assured João Vaz.
New markets
João Vaz also revealed that the company works to enter new markets. Currently, the bookmaker is focused on Brazil and Latin America, but also focuses on the African market with licenses already obtained in Uganda, Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria.
The company is trying to obtain authorizations to operate in other countries on the continent, as well as in Asia. According to João Vaz, the group is already in India and has an official ambassador, a former cricketer.
Betting regulations in Brazil
Betwinner’s PR director also spoke about the expectation generated by the approval of the regulation of the Brazilian sports betting market. Vaz said that ‘Brazil is a passionate market’ that can become the best on the planet. He believes that brands will assess how the process will be finalized in the country, but ‘Betwinner will be in the regulated market’ from day one.
