First edition of SPORTEL Rendez-Vous records expressive numbers

As a result of the pandemic, SPORTEL created “Rendez-vous”, a new format for the series of events abroad, launching in Miami, the vibrant home of many meetings held in the Americas, which began 25 years ago.

This new concept features a streamlined two-day event adapted to the current context, offering more accessible meetings and products, complemented by an innovative conference and a wide range of networking opportunities, as well as various marketing initiatives to expand the SPORTEL experience.

“Two years ago we were all in Miami, holding our last SPORTEL event abroad. Today we are back with a new concept and I am pleased to confirm that our return to the Americas is a real success. We always want to provide the SPORTEL community with the best business opportunities and our strategy has worked”, commented Laurent Puons, CEO of Monaco Mediax.

The convention allowed the presentation of products from world-class exhibitors, including ready-to-use meeting pods and booths with a breathtaking view of Miami’s Biscayne Bay. It is worth mentioning that the iGaming Brazil portal team covered every day of the event bringing special and exclusive content.

Back to SPORTEL’s glory days

The numbers are better than the last two editions of SPORTEL Miami with more than 500 participants from 290 companies, including 80 new companies that had never attended SPORTEL before.

Over the course of two days, attendees were able to network with providers of innovative broadcasting solutions, such as Buzzer, an app that curates the best live sports moments according to each fan’s preferences, Newsbridge with AI and media asset management. data-driven NXTID, who shared the creative process behind the design of a sports NFT and GreenPark Sports, whose immersive social platforms are designed to digitally engage native fans with their favorite sports, teams and athletes.

Traditional exhibitors also showcased new trends, including LaLiga Tech, a new entity within LaLiga that offers a tailored ecosystem of sports technologies to broadcasters and sports properties to accelerate their digital transformation.

The significant increase in the share of the New Media Sector (17.7% versus 10.9% in 2020), the 150 content buyers and 52.5% of C-Level executives from the sports business showed that SPORTEL continues to develop new initiatives aiming to remain at the forefront of the market.

“I want to invite everyone to SPORTEL Monaco, to be held from the 24th to the 26th of October 2022. I am also pleased to announce that in 2023, we will organize two editions of SPORTEL Rendez-vous; one in Miami and we will also return to Asia. For the first time, SPORTEL will go to Bali, Indonesia, in partnership with Transvision”, concluded Laurent Puons.
