Stellar Gaming‘s Chief Business Officer, Fellipe Fraga, took stock of the work carried out by the company in the Brazilian market since regulation and commented on the possibility of expanding the business to other countries in South America.
The executive also detailed the preparation process for the biggest sporting event of the year: the 2026 World Cup, which officially starts this Thursday (13).
“When we saw this movement of foreign companies in Brazil, our mentality was always to offer a different product as possible, knowing how to speak the Brazilian language”, he stated.
According to Fraga, EstrelaBet has managed to remain in the Top 10 in Brazil over the last few years.
Stellar Gaming follows the growth of the South American market
The executive stated that South America appears as a natural path for the company’s expansion due to its geographic and cultural proximity.
“Although there is a great reference in Mexico, with a market similar to ours in size and sports culture, expansion to countries close to Brazil tends to be more natural”, he explained.
In Fellipe Fraga’s view, Brazil had Pix as a major differentiator for allowing instant payments. “Internet and telephone access is available here. In other countries, payments are often still made in physical environments”, he mentioned.
He also mentioned markets that could arouse the group’s interest, such as Chile, Argentina, Peru and Colombia.
What are the expectations for the 2026 World Cup
Fraga recalled that the last World Cup was still held with the Brazilian market in a scenario of uncertainty.
“Now, we have a mature market, audience and customer knowledge. This means that actions have to be more intelligent so that the customer becomes aware of the platform and creates a connection beyond the World Cup”, he explained.
The executive highlighted the importance of responsible gaming, the potential increase in access during the tournament and the need to guarantee the stability of the operation.
“Sports betting and the casino need to work perfectly. Everything must be in sync so that, after the World Cup, the customer knows that it is possible to have fun legally and returns”, he stressed.
Finally, Fellipe Fraga projected a growth of at least 30% in the volume of accesses during the World Cup. “But this is a conservative forecast”, he concluded.
