EstrelaBet, an online betting platform in Brazil, filed, last Monday (12), an application to obtain a license to operate in Brazil from next year. In other words, this movement marks a significant step in the company’s strategy of consolidating itself in the Brazilian market.

The licensing application aims to comply with all rules and regulations established by Brazilian Legislation and the Federal Government’s Secretariat for Prizes and Bets (SPA).

EstrelaBet needs to meet some requirements

The process of obtaining the license requires EstrelaBet to meet a series of requirements, both from a technical and regulatory point of view. Therefore, among these requirements, the following stand out:

  • Review of internal controls
  • Obtaining international certifications
  • Integrity Policies
  • Responsible gaming

“This move reflects our commitment to the Brazilian market and our desire to offer a safe, fair and innovative betting experience for our customers. Therefore, we are confident that, with our dedication to transparency and respect for current regulations, we will be able to significantly contribute to the development of this sector in the country”, stated João Gerçossimo, CEO of EstrelaBet.

According to the regulations, from 2025 onwards, only companies based in Brazil will be able to:

  • Explore the sports betting and online gaming market
  • Sponsor football teams and other sports
  • Sponsor nationally publicized events
  • Promote your brands through advertising

“We have worked tirelessly to promote a sports betting environment that is transparent, responsible and fun for our customers,” said Fellipe Fraga, Director of Business and Institutional Relations at EstrelaBet.

“Thus, the recent application to obtain the license to operate in Brazil is the culmination of our continued efforts and dedication to the Brazilian market. We firmly believe that regulation is essential to ensure the protection of consumers and the integrity of operations,” he added.
