GRID, an eSports data platform, now joins the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) as the first eSports-focused associate member. This collaboration marks an important moment for the integrity of eSports.
GRID aligns with IBIA and its members, who monitor more than $300 billion in sports betting annually, with an increasing focus on eSports betting.
Commitment to integrity
The partnership between GRID and IBIA aims to address integrity issues in esports. Both promote trust between stakeholders and establish a standard of excellence in the ecosystem.
Since 2022, GRID has been a certified member of IBIA’s Data Standards program, contributing to custom integrity protocols.
This association reinforces GRID‘s dedication to transparency and collaboration in combating corruption in betting. Since 2018, the company has operated an integrity department that develops data-driven solutions for eSports.
The company monitors the integrity of tournaments and data, flagging and reporting suspicious behavior. This allows GRID to collect a vast database of health reports and insights.
Role of IBIA
IBIA is a non-profit entity that protects sports betting markets against match manipulation. It represents more than 50 betting companies, operating more than 125 brands.
Its global monitoring network is an effective anti-corruption tool, detecting and reporting suspicious activity in regulated markets.
Under the partnership, GRID and IBIA will share information on suspicious bets and match manipulation. IBIA members will have free access to integrity-focused resources provided by GRID.
