FIFAe, in partnership with Sports Interactive, announced the creation of the 1st Football Manager World Cup, an unprecedented event that will bring together the best football game strategists on the planet.
This inaugural tournament will take place between August 29th and September 1st, promising intense and innovative competition. The tournament, which will award US$100,000 in prizes, aims to crown the first Football Manager world champion.
Arsène Wenger, FIFA’s Head of Global Football Development, has been named ambassador for the event.
He commented on the importance of the competition: “I look forward to being part of this exciting new journey. This competition requires participants to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of football strategy and tactics.
Success in this format requires not only mastery of the game’s mechanics, but also an in-depth knowledge of football, which makes it a fascinating mix.”
Details of the unprecedented Football Manager event
FIFAe member associations will be invited to send representatives, based on eligibility and number of players per nation. The best Football Manager 2024 players will showcase their world-class tactical knowledge during the event.
Therefore, players interested in participating can register via the FIFA.GG website to obtain more information about qualification in their territory.
Wenger highlighted FIFA’s dedication to developing coaches and training techniques, stating: “At FIFA, we are dedicated to developing coaches and training techniques to give every talent a chance.

Partnership and expansion
In addition to Football Manager, FIFAe announced an innovative partnership with Rocket League, including the creation of the first global competition where 16 nations will compete for the title.
