Rainbow Six já pagou mais de US$9,7 milhões

The universe of eSports has established itself as a highly profitable field. An estimate is that it will move approximately US$200 billion worldwide. Thus, within this context, Rainbow Six, a world-renowned action and adventure game from Ubisoft, gained prominence in Brazil.

Rainbow Six has already paid more than US$9.7 million

Thus, Leandro ‘Montoya’ Estevam, director of eSports at Ubisoft for Latin America, highlighted the creation of an attractive and sustainable environment for athletes, organizations, sponsors and fans.

“We promote a financially attractive and sustainable environment for athletes, organizations, sponsors and the public,” said Montoya.

Since the launch of the game’s competitive scene in 2017, Brazilian teams have already pocketed more than US$9.7 million in prizes.

So, Brazil’s relevance on the international stage is reflected in the next edition of the Six Invitational, Rainbow Six’s main global competition.

For the first time in history, the tournament will take place outside of Montreal, Canada, and will be hosted in São Paulo, between the 13th and 25th of February.

Therefore, it is worth mentioning that, in 2021, the Brazilian team Ninjas In Pajamas won the Six Invitational title. Thus marking your name in the history of the game.

With this, Bertrand Chaverot, director of Ubisoft in Latin America, demonstrated confidence in the growth of these numbers.

“For Ubisoft, Brazil has already established itself as the main country for eSports competitions in Rainbow Six, both in terms of achievements and audience”, stated Chaverot.

Support for Brazilian game teams increases in 2023

Data from 2023 indicates a significant increase in support for Rainbow Six Siege teams in Brazil. A total of US$450,000 was distributed, representing a 13% increase compared to the 2022 award, which was US$398,000.
