Corinthians announced the definitive purchase of goalkeeper Hugo Souza, formalizing the 4-year contract. According to an official note, Corinthians had support from the sponsor Esportes da Sorte and the Daycoval bank.
“I’m very happy, it’s an inexplicable, indescribable feeling, I was very excited for this moment, anxious for this to happen. So, just thank God first, the president, Fabinho, the entire Corinthians board who always committed and worked to make this happen, the entire group, the entire staff, everything that involves this club”, celebrated the goalkeeper Hugo Souza.
Hugo arrived at Corinthians at the beginning of July and has played 31 games with the black and white mantle. Absolute starter, he made a point of thanking Timão’s fans.
“I want to thank these fans for all the love since I got here. Very happy to stay here, I’m making a dream come true, let’s achieve a great story together, to make a great story together”, he added.

Timão’s president, Augusto Melo, highlighted the bookmaker’s collaboration in ensuring the player’s stay. “Today we concluded a very important negotiation for us, we had already assured the fans that everything was ok, but now we can make it very clear that Hugo is Corinthians’ goalkeeper”.

Currently, Corinthians occupies 9th place in the Brasileirão table with 47 points and 44% success rate.
