After a period of uncertainty, the Ministry of Treasury finally authorized the operation of Esportes da Sorte, Corinthians’ main sponsor, in Brazil last Wednesday night (16). State regularization had previously been confirmed, on October 9th.
Esportes da Sorte, which can now operate legally until at least December, sponsors several Brazilian clubs, including Corinthians and Athletico-PR. Other teams supported by the company are Grêmio, Bahia, Ceará (from Series B), Náutico (Serie C) and Santa Cruz (no division), in addition to Palmeiras, in the women’s category.
Megapix and Reals were also included in the list
The company’s corporate name is “Esportes Gaming Brasil Ltda” and this inclusion was made in compliance with a court decision.
In turn, Megapix obtained a preliminary decision to appear on the national list, although it has not yet been officially recognized. It is worth remembering that companies that are not on the Ministry of Treasury’s list cannot offer betting services in Brazil until they obtain definitive authorization from the government.
Furthermore, there was also the inclusion of Reals Brasil, which can now operate sites such as Ux and Netpix, bringing the total number of authorized companies to 98. Meanwhile, 26 brands only have licenses at the state level.
Thus, the Ministry of Treasury’s updated national list now includes 98 companies. Corinthians, one of the clubs that benefits most from this sponsorship, confirmed that it will maintain its partnership with Esportes da Sorte.
“Sport Club Corinthians Paulista informs that, under the terms of current legislation, it is authorized to continue with the exhibition of the Esportes da Sorte brand”, stated the club in an official statement.

Details of the partnership between Corinthians and Esportes da Sorte
Corinthians is supported by a court decision that confirms the authority of Esportes da Sorte to publish its brand, which remains confidential.
Initially, the company had informed that it had authorization to operate in Rio de Janeiro through Loterj. However, the CBF allowed Corinthians to use the master sponsor’s brand in national competitions.
The contract between Corinthians and Esportes da Sorte is robust, providing for an investment of approximately R$309 million over three years. This agreement includes the commitment to pay part of striker Memphis Depay‘s salary, highlighting the importance of the partnership in financial terms.
However, Esportes da Sorte faced challenges before this regularization. The company was without a license to operate in Brazil. In a statement, the bookmaker revealed that it sought information from the government, claiming that it registered within the stipulated deadline.
“The Esportes da Sorte Group reinforces its commitment to regulating the sector and responsible gambling, supporting the legal and reputable market, aiming to protect the interests of bettors and striving for a serious and transparent industry”, stated in an official note from enterprise.
