MGM Resorts has entered into a significant collaboration with one of the most legendary names in American sports. The company will have its brand displayed at Yankees Stadium as a result of a new partnership with the New York Yankees.
This agreement will allow both companies to offer exclusive VIP experiences to MGM Rewards members and baseball fans.
Additionally, MGM Resorts will benefit greatly from prominent brand placement at the sports center. This includes LED signage and rotational signage at first and third bases.
The MGM Resorts logo will also be present on the back of the pitcher’s mound during game broadcasts.
Empire City Casino expansion
Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM Resorts, commented on the partnership: “We remain committed to investing in the community while collaborating with the New York Yankees to provide unparalleled experiences for baseball fans.”
MGM Resorts has owned and operated Empire City Casino and Yonkers Raceway for five years. Hornbuckle highlighted that as the company continues to work towards securing a full commercial casino license in Empire City, this partnership allows it to further develop these properties to their full potential.
The aim is to deliver the world-class hospitality that guests have come to expect from the brand.
Partnerships and fan experiences
Michael Tusiani, senior vice president of partnerships for the Yankees, also highlighted the potential impact the collaboration could have on Empire City Casino‘s exposure.
The plan is for Empire City Casino to host Yankees-themed fan activities and experiences involving current and former MLB players.
Since 2018, MGM Resorts and MLB have had an extensive partnership. This collaboration designated the casino and entertainment company as the first official gaming partner of the North American Baseball League.
