Jim Allen will assume the presidency of the AGA from January 2022

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has announced its next president, President of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming, Jim Allen. Allen was elected by the Board of Directors to assume the role after Aristocrat Technologies CEO Trevor Croker left the position. Allen’s two-year term begins in January 2022.

Croker commented on choosing his replacement: “It was a privilege to serve as president of the AGA. I’m incredibly proud of our success in laying the groundwork for game recovery and ensuring our future is brighter than ever. I have the greatest confidence that Jim, Bill and the entire association will continue to lead the gaming industry.”

Since 2015, Allen has been on the AGA Board, and his leadership and experience have played a large role in driving the association’s priorities. Having led the hospitality, gaming and entertainment operations for Florida’s Seminole Tribe, Allen has widely expanded gaming operations across the country.

“This is a pivotal time for the gaming industry and I am honored to serve as the next president of the AGA. The AGA played an essential role in bringing the industry together during the pandemic, and I am grateful to Trevor and the AGA Board of Directors for trusting me to help lead the industry’s continued recovery,” said Jim Allen.

Bill Miller will remain CEO of AGA for three more years

AGA CEO Bill Miller also said: “I am delighted to welcome Jim as president of the AGA. Jim brings decades of experience in commercial casino operations and tribal gaming – a perspective that will be invaluable as we work to set the industry agenda, accelerate gaming returns and strengthen our relationships with communities across the country.”

“Trevor has been an outstanding president of the AGA and a trusted advisor to me for the past two years, guiding the industry through the most challenging time in its history. The AGA and the entire gaming community are indebted to their service to the industry,” continued Miller.

The AGA extended Bill Miller’s contract for another three years as the entity’s CEO. Since 2019, Miller has addressed many industry priorities, such as: helping recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting casino development in payments and market innovation, expanding responsible gaming efforts, and expanding communications and research .
