Enjoy, from Chile, shared its financial results for the period between January 1 and the end of March, where it suffered losses of 16.889 billion Chilean pesos, approximately 6 billion more than in the first quarter of 2020.
The company also reported revenue of 20.04 billion in the first three months of the year, 75.8% less than in the same period last year.
In addition, the company said that at times when its casinos were able to operate, they registered a 119% increase in the use of slots, which is double the activity of a year, without any interruption.
According to La Tercera, Enjoy said: “We see that customers are eager to return to our units and the company is ready to reopen them when sanitary conditions permit”.
On the other hand, the company has already converted 37% of the bonds as part of the reorganization process, so that it may have a capital increase of US $ 120 million.
Change of authorities
The casino operator’s financial announcement comes days after the news that Rodrigo Larraín will step down as Enjoy’s general manager. The change comes from Larraín’s decision to “take on new professional challenges”, and it comes after the general manager led the casino operator’s process.
In addition, the board of the Chilean company confirmed that the current manager of Corporate Operations, Eliseo Gracia Martinez, will take over until July 1 as interim general manager, and then choose who will officially hold the position.
