The University Medical Center (UMC) Covid-19 vaccination center will open its doors at Wynn Resorts’ Encore at Wynn Las Vegas this Monday, 18th. Initially, the site will operate from Monday to Friday, but, and may increase service hours as the program expands.
The objective is to facilitate and expand the distribution of the vaccine throughout the Las Vegas region. “We offer Encore as a vaccination site to help facilitate the delivery of the vaccine as quickly and efficiently as possible throughout the city of Las Vegas,” said Matt Maddox, CEO of Wynn Resorts.
Maddox added: “Our partnership with UMC started with our extensive testing program for our employees at this location. Based on the success of this program, we are looking forward to receiving this fundamental step in the economic and health recovery of our state ”.
Vaccination in a Wynn Resorts venture to replace UMC clinic
The COVID-19 Vaccination Center is located in the resort’s convention space, next to the parking lot. First, the place will provide the vaccine to people over 70 and health professionals. Over time, the immunization process is expected to serve more residents of the state of Nevada.
“The Encore at Wynn Vaccination Center will serve as a valuable resource for our community, as we will work together to protect our most vulnerable population and eventually end the COVID-19 pandemic,” said the UMC CEO , Mason Van Houweling.
Houweling stated that “members of the UMC health team are looking forward to working alongside our trusted partners at Wynn Resorts to build a brighter and healthier future for southern Nevada.”
Schedules are required by UMC and can be made in advance over the internet or by phone. The center located in the Wynn Resorts development will replace the UMC vaccination clinic at the Delta Point Building.
Therefore, all appointments scheduled for this Monday or after this 18th of January will take place on the premises of Encore.
