Clarion announced new dates for next year’s editions of ICE London and iGB Affiliate London. ICE London will now take place from June 29th to July 1st at the ExCeL London Exhibition Center, while iGB London is scheduled for July 1st and 2nd, at the same location.
Clarion also announced that the iGB Live 2021 will be moved from July 28 to September 28 to October 1 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
New postponement of ICE London date
The decision to change the schedule of major gaming events was made as a result of the impact of the new coronavirus pandemic and the latest UK government guidelines on social gatherings.
Initially, ICE London 2021 was postponed from February to April next year, but Clarion stated that the new decision “follows a close consultation with the international community”, with many participants asking for more time for the industry to stabilize in economic and travel regulations.
Clarion Gaming Managing Director Kate Chambers said: “This extension offers a number of important advantages compared to April, in addition to allowing for the best possible space configurations and accessibility at ExCeL London.”
Kate stated that “in addition to the logistical benefits, we are also aware that this provides additional time for the market to recover – which we believe will further improve and support delivery, results and experiences for all participants”.
According to the director of Clarion, “the whole team is excited about this new moment for our events, aiming to offer the experience that is expected from ICE London and iGB Affiliate London. And we look forward to any feedback from the public ”.
Preparation for events in 2021
Between the month of February until the official realization of ICE London, Clarion intends to promote “The Road to ICE and iGB 2021”, several digital meetings that will allow the market to interact digitally to exchange information, in addition to the event’s broadcast plans.
