Brazil will host the next Women’s World Cup in 2027. Therefore, strengthening the main national championship, the Brasileirão Feminino, is essential both sportingly and commercially.
Recently, Start Bet, a Brazilian online betting company authorized by the Federal Government, took on the role of sponsor of the 2025 Brazilian Women’s Championship. The debut took place during the decisive phase of the tournament, which began on Sunday, August 10.
Now, in the semifinals, the brand will be present in the matches between Corinthians and São Paulo and Palmeiras and Cruzeiro. The agreement includes displaying the logo on advertising boards at all matches of the competition.
The initiative is considered strategic for Start Bet, which has invested in several branding initiatives in recent months. These include partnerships with 14 influencers and significant growth on Instagram, where the company already has nearly 130,000 followers.
Rodolfo Maia, managing partner of Start Bet, explains: “Women’s soccer is experiencing significant growth in Brazil, and we believe that investing now will help consolidate this movement. For us, being present in the Brasileirão is a natural step in our strategy to support the sport.”
Knockout stage in the Women’s Brazilian Championship
The finalists will be defined on Sunday, August 31, with expectations of packed stadiums, extensive television coverage and greater visibility for Brazilian women’s football.
The first leg of the semi-finals takes place this Sunday (24). São Paulo faces Corinthians at 10:30 am, with broadcast on TV Globo and Sportv. At the same time, at Arena Barueri, Palmeiras hosts Cruzeiro, shown on TV Globo, Sportv and TV Brasil.
The return matches will also take place at 10:30 am: Corinthians vs. São Paulo at a location to be determined and Cruzeiro vs. Palmeiras at the Independência stadium in Belo Horizonte.
Betting companies’ investment in women’s football has not yet reached the same levels as in men’s football, but it is showing a growing trend.
Currently, in the men’s professional football Series A, betting companies move more than R$1.1 billion per year in sponsorships, with record contracts, such as Flamengo’s with Betano, which reaches R$268.5 million per year.
