Alfa, a betting company with a permanent license to operate in Brazil, officially signed a three-year contract with possibilities for renewal with Grêmio and Internacional.
Each team should receive R$50 million per year. However, the agreement includes clauses that can increase earnings depending on the teams’ sporting performance and engagement.
For example, goals such as ranking in competitions or reach on social media can generate additional bonuses for clubs.
Alfa’s partnership with Grêmio
Grêmio officially communicated the agreement with Alfa, this Tuesday (11). The partnership ensures the brand’s presence on the front of the men’s and women’s team shirts.
Grêmio‘s first game with the new sponsorship took place on the same night, against Pelotas at the Arena, during the seventh round of the Campeonato Gaúcho. In addition to its presence on the uniforms, Alfa will have visibility in the Arena and on social media.
Grêmio president Alberto Guerra said: “We are very happy. Today we begin a new cycle. The partnership highlights Grêmio with one of the largest sponsorship contracts in the country, and with the potential to further improve our earnings.
“What will happen according to the engagement of our fans in this project. We will continue with great responsibility, carrying out professional management to guarantee the Grêmio of today and the future.”
Arthur Silva, Partner and CEO of Alfa, also highlighted: “It is an honor for Alfa to enter into this partnership. We know the responsibility this represents and we are committed to contributing to the success of institutions, always respecting the history and passion of the fans.
“In addition, we reinforce our commitment to responsible gaming, a fundamental pillar of our operations.”
International and Alpha
Along with Grêmio, Internacional also secured a master sponsorship with Alfa. Signing the same period of agreement, with the possibility of extension, the betting company is committed to respecting and honoring the history of Colorado fans.
According to the president of Internacional, Alessandro Barcellos, “Alfa’s embarkation on our growth journey is a clear sign that the planning carried out was perceived by the market”
Arthur Silva highlighted the importance of the partnership: “It is an honor for Alfa to enter into this partnership with Internacional. We know the responsibility this represents and we are committed to contributing to the club’s success.
