Palmeiras recently announced its first commercial partner for the 2025 season. However, the master sponsor will be presented next Monday (13). The Palmeiras board of directors and Sportingbet will formalize the agreement at an event at Allianz Parque.
Details of the agreement between Palmeiras and Sportingbet
The contract will last for three years, with the possibility of extension for another year. The bookmaker’s brand will be printed on the most valuable part of Verdão’s shirt in the men’s and women’s professional teams.
The agreement will yield a fixed R$100 million per season, reaching up to R$170 million, depending on the team’s sporting performance.
As there is no longer exclusivity in sponsorship agreements, the Alviverde board’s intention is to negotiate marketing properties for significant amounts to reach R$200 million in sponsorships. Shoulder blade, hem, socks and shorts are some of the areas of the uniform that are for sale.
“The recent achievements on the field and the credibility achieved off it make many reputable companies interested in stamping their brands on the Palmeiras shirt”, said Everaldo Coelho, vice-president of Marketing and Communication at Palmeiras.
Therefore, Sportingbet will make its debut on the Palmeiras shirt on January 15th, next Wednesday, the team’s debut in the Campeonato Paulista against Portuguesa, at Allianz Parque. Verdão is the current three-time champion of the State.
Under the command of Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira, Palmeiras will compete in the Paulistão, Brasileirão, Libertadores, Copa do Brasil and the FIFA Club World Cup this season.
