H2bet, a bookmaker based in São Paulo, will be Atlético-MG‘s new master sponsor from 2025. The company will take Betano‘s place on Galo’s shirt, marking its debut in football.
The agreement, revealed by Rádio Itatiaia, provides for the annual payment of R$60 million to the Minas Gerais club. So, with this value, Galo positions itself with the fourth largest sponsorship among Brazilian clubs, surpassing several major competitors.
A milestone in H2bet investment
The H2 Club Group, creator of H2bet, communicated internally to employees last Wednesday (18) that the contract has already been closed. Thus, the brand will officially appear on the Atlético-MG shirt in 2025.
This partnership marks a big step for H2bet into the sports betting market. Despite having already invested in advertising, this is the company’s first sponsorship of a football club.
Currently, the brand’s poster boy is left-back Marcelo, formerly of Real Madrid and Fluminense. However, until recently, the player represented competitor SportingBet, which reinforces H2bet’s expansion strategy.
Advertising and history of the H2 Club group
Before closing the contract with Atlético-MG, H2bet concentrated its advertising investments on channels such as:
- Cazé TV
- A Porsche Cup
- PodPah podcast
Founded 17 years ago, Grupo H2 Club is known for its focus on poker. But the company also operates truco, cacheta, chess houses, gastronomic units and an online poker site. Headquartered in São Paulo, the group is also present in Campinas and Curitiba, being led by CEO Ueltom Lima Gomes.
