MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have renewed their partnership with the American Gaming Association (AGA) to promote Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM) in the United States this September.

As part of the collaboration, the GameSense responsible gaming program will be promoted in NFL stadiums “more frequently and in more prominent locations during each game.”

BetMGM ambassadors will participate in the campaign

This will show a transparent and proactive commitment to guests and customers about playing responsibly.

GameSense will promote actions in the following stadiums:

  • Acrisure Stadium (Pittsburgh Steelers)
  • Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas Raiders)
  • Empower Field at Mile High (Denver Broncos)
  • Ford Field (Detroit Lions)
  • GHEA Field at Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs)
  • M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens)
  • MetLife Stadium (New York Jets)
  • Nissan Stadium (Tennessee Titans)
  • State Farm Stadium (Arizona Cardinals).

“We are excited to bring responsible gaming initiatives directly to fans at these NFL stadiums again this season,” commented Rhea Loney, Chief Compliance Officer at BetMGM.

“We are setting a new standard for safety and awareness in the industry. At BetMGM, we believe that protecting our players and promoting responsible gaming is essential to the future of sports betting.”

So, over the next few months, BetMGM will run ads featuring its brand ambassadors sharing engaging messages similar to its responsible gaming commercial featuring NHL star Connor McDavid.

MGM Resorts is also contributing $440,000 to fund responsible gaming research through the International Center for Responsible Gaming and the Kindbridge Research Institute.

The institute aims to “promote industry best practices and fill significant research gaps in understudied populations, including female military veterans.”

MGM Resorts has certified more than 500 employees

Stephen Martino, senior vice president and chief compliance officer at MGM Resorts, noted, “The importance of funding research into responsible gaming cannot be overstated.”

“So, as a leader in the gaming industry, it is imperative that our company supports efforts to better understand the diverse impact that gaming has on various populations, including those who may be at greater risk of developing problematic behaviors.”

During RGEM, MGM Resorts and BetMGM will continue to raise awareness about responsible gaming through extensive training.

MGM Resorts’ GameSense consulting program recently certified more than 500 customer-facing employees. Likewise, BetMGM training will include education for VIP staff, as well as promoting responsible gaming through experiences with its partner EPIC Global Solutions.

As such, GameSense messaging will also be prominently displayed in tabletop games across all of the operator’s U.S. properties. Similar announcements will be made on all slot machines. There will be more than 8,000 machines with QR codes for information about responsible gambling and educational materials.

MGM Resorts marquees in Las Vegas and more than 35,000 screens across the company’s portfolio will display responsible gaming tips. Therefore, BetMGM will launch tools to help players:

  • Stay within your spending limits
  • Promote a responsible and sustainable entertainment experience

MGM Resorts and BetMGM remain AGA partners

MGM Resorts and BetMGM also continue their partnership with the AGA’s “Have a Game Plan” public service campaign. Bet Responsibly’ to educate new and experienced bettors.
