Corinthians is looking for a new master sponsor to replace VaideBet, after the contract was terminated due to suspected irregularities. The club has stopped receiving R$10 million a month since then and now negotiates with betting companies, such as Betano, Parimatch and Casa de Apostas.
The proposals under discussion vary between R$5 and 9 million per month. However, Corinthians aims to close an agreement that reaches the amount previously paid by the former partner. Companies require that the business does not go through intermediaries.
This requirement occurs amid the scandal involving transfers to an orange company, which led to the rupture of the contract with VaideBet.
In addition to the companies mentioned, the club is also in negotiations with other bookmakers, whose names were not revealed. The club is committed to resolving this matter as quickly as possible.
Corinthians announces new marketing director
The board aims to complete the agreement quickly to reinforce the club’s cash flow and honor financial commitments, such as the payroll of the professional squad. Meanwhile, the board is moving internally to ensure that all operations continue to run smoothly.
A new addition to the Corinthians team is the hiring of Vinicius Manfredi as the new marketing director. Vinicius, who already worked at the club between 2015 and 2021, takes over the marketing area and will have as his main challenge signing the new master sponsorship.
Club took a stand after losing VaideBet sponsorship
Corinthians took a stance on the departure of the then master sponsor, VaideBet. The São Paulo club issued an official note on June 7th:
“Sport Club Corinthians Paulista informs the discontinuation of the master sponsorship contract with VaideBet. Due to recent instability, caused by accusations that remain under investigation, the company preferred to terminate the agreement it had signed with the club until the end of 2026.
Corinthians regrets that its commercial partner ended the biggest sports marketing agreement in Brazil – from which the company benefited to the point of going from an unknown bookmaker to second place in the sector in just five months – without any conclusion being reached investigations related to the trading intermediary.
It is worth mentioning that Corinthians is the most interested in resolving the aforementioned issue. Therefore, it is sparing no effort to ensure that the facts are clarified, whether by its own means, through third parties or in collaboration with the authorities.”
