After ending the contract with Pixbet, Vasco da Gama secured a partnership with a new betting company for the master sponsorship of its shirt: Betano.

The club went through a period of 80 days without having a main sponsor for its uniform, since ending its relationship with Pixbet on January 12th of this year.

The decision was taken due to the recognition that the amount received (R$ 22 million) was below the market potential.

The commercial department of SAF (Football Administration Society) aimed to considerably increase revenue from sponsors.

With this new agreement, the club should receive double the amount stipulated in the previous contract.

The values ​​agreed with Betano vary between 40 and 45 million reais per year, with the inclusion of goals and bonuses.

Without Fluminense, Betano aimed to partner with Vasco

The end of the contract between Betano and Fluminense facilitated the development of this negotiation. The Rio rival had the bookmaker as its main sponsor until March of this year, but faced difficulties in reaching a new contract renewal agreement.

In this context, Vasco expressed interest in the partnership, which culminated in the agreement being reached. According to Lance!, the official announcement is expected to be made in the next few days.

Betano’s entry as a master sponsor represents not only a significant financial boost for Vasco, but also an enhancement of the club’s brand.

Brasileirão Series A

The team from São Januário debuted in the Brazilian Championship, with a 2-1 victory against Grêmio. The next duel will be against Bragantino, on Wednesday (17), at the Nabi Abi Chedid stadium.

Therefore, the club is looking for a much more competitive participation in this year’s edition after fighting not to fall until the last round in 2023. This is because Vasco ended the competition in 15th place, with 45 points.
