Amid commitments for the 2024 season, Vasco da Gama is in negotiations with Betano, one of the main betting houses operating in the country. The club is negotiating values for a possible master sponsorship.
Rumors suggest that Betano may break its link with Fluminense, given the perception that the current contract is below expectations.
Faced with this situation, Tricolor das Laranjeiras has made efforts to negotiate a contractual adjustment that is more favorable to it.
Aware of this movement, Vasco received surveys from Betano, establishing its minimum parameters to initiate any negotiation.
It is estimated that the annual amount to bear the title of master sponsor of the club is around R$45 million. Furthermore, the marketing department is studying the possibility of including incentive clauses in the agreement, related to awards.
Negotiations between Betano, Vasco and Fluminense
Betano has distributed its resources on different fronts, which could complicate a possible renewal with Fluminense, especially if the proposed values come close to Vasco’s demands.
It is worth mentioning that Vasco even flirted with EstrelaBet, but the proposed figures did not align with the betting company’s expectations, causing the business to cool down.
Fluminense, in turn, is also immersed in negotiations with other companies, seeking the best agreement for its brand and uniform, after having won the Copa Libertadores title and competing in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The club understands that the values practiced until now are out of date in the current regulatory scenario for sports betting in Brazil. Therefore, negotiations with Betano aim at a substantial readjustment in the sponsorship contract, although, for now, they remain at an initial stage.
On the other hand, Vasco was approached by other companies in the sector, although only Betano has continued conversations so far.

Vasco’s last sponsor, Pixbet, directed its investments to Flamengo after leaving the São Januário team and Corinthians.
The expectation is that the outcome of these negotiations will take place by the end of February, a crucial time for the club to resolve its main sponsorship issue.
