In a strategy to boost its revenues through master sponsorships, Fluminense‘s management is currently in the process of prospecting for a new partner. Names like Pixbet and Superbet are considered as a possible replacement for Betano.
The information comes from journalist Victor Lessa, on his YouTube channel.
Despite having Betano as a sponsor until 2025, Fluminense is looking for a more robust partnership. But the club has not yet confirmed the specific company with which it is negotiating for the most important space on the shirt.
It is important to highlight that any decision in this regard will involve consultations with Betano. If a formal proposal is made, the current sponsor will have the chance to match the offer and remain a partner of Fluminense.
According to Lessa, discussions are ongoing, and intermediaries have approached several companies since the end of last year.
The potential new sponsor is showing interest in offering a contribution between three and four times higher than the current value of the contract with Betano.
Furthermore, there is the possibility of covering the termination fine, indicating a possible imminent transition in Fluminense’s master sponsorship.
Sponsorships, bookmakers and Fluminense
The amounts paid by Betano, to the Rio club, are R$ 20 million per season until 2025. Pixbet recently closed an agreement with Flamengo, and will transfer R$ 170 million to the red and black until 2025.
Superbet will be São Paulo’s new master sponsor, paying the club around R$52 million per season.
As champion of the Copa Libertadores and runner-up of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2023, Fluminense hopes to achieve more appreciation for its uniform.
