Two Brazilian teams remain in the FIFA Club World Cup, Palmeiras and Fluminense persist in the fight for the title. However, the other 18 teams in Série A are preparing for the return of the 2025 Brazilian Championship. The Brasileirão resumes on July 12, with the thirteenth round.
Betfair analyzed which teams appear as favorites to win the competition title, in addition to indicating which teams should fight for the G6 of the Libertadores.
Flamengo is the main favorite to win the Brazilian Championship
After being eliminated by Bayern Munich, Flamengo returns to Brazil and seeks to maintain its lead in the Brasileirão. The red-black team from Rio de Janeiro has 24 points, the same score as Cruzeiro, which has played one more game.
Red Bull Bragantino is in third place with 23 points and Palmeiras rounds out the top four, with 22 points and one game less.
According to Betfair’s data analysis, Filipe Luís’s team appears as favorites to lift the trophy, which the team has not lifted since 2020. There is a 43% chance of the red-black team being champion (odd of 2.0), followed by Palmeiras (odd of 2.5) and Cruzeiro (odd of 8.0). See the full list below:

The fight for the Libertadores
In addition to the title, Brazil’s main teams are fighting to secure their place in the 2026 Copa Libertadores. In total, Brazil currently has four places that qualify directly for the competition, in addition to the two places for the Pre-Libertadores.
Cruzeiro, sponsored by Betfair, appears as the third team with the best chance of securing a spot in the G6, with 87% chance (odds of 1.15). Below is the full list:

Striker Pablo Vegetti, from Vasco, a team also sponsored by Betfair, appears as the second player with the best chance of being the top scorer in the 2025 Brasileirão: 10% (odds of 5.5) chance.

Before the ball starts rolling again in the Brasileirão, Palmeiras and Fluminense fight for qualification in the semifinals of the World Cup this Friday (4). The Rio de Janeiro team faces Al Hilal, while Palmeiras faces Chelsea.
