SOFTSWISS celebrates a double win at the prestigious Malta Gaming Excellence Awards (MiGEA) 2025. Two of the company’s key figures have had their work recognized for their impact on the iGaming industry. They are Ivan Montik, founder of SOFTSWISS, and Rubens Barrichello, Non-Executive Director of the company in Latin America and legendary Formula 1 driver.
Ivan Montik is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, a distinction that honors individuals for their far-reaching contributions to the industry.
Meanwhile, Rubens Barrichello was named Best iGaming Influencer of the Year, in order to expand the company’s presence through marketing and social initiatives around the world.
Ivan founded SOFTSWISS in 2009, making it one of the first companies to introduce cryptocurrencies into the iGaming space. Since then, it has grown into a full-service provider with over 2,000 employees and operations in over 20 countries.
Over the past year, Ivan Montik has driven initiatives that have strengthened the company’s global presence and forward-looking vision. Under his leadership, SOFTSWISS has expanded its presence in Latin America and South Africa.
In addition, it has extended its collaboration with F1 legend Rubens Barrichello. It has also transformed the SOFTSWISS game aggregator into one of the largest content hubs on the market, offering over 30,000 games.
iGaming Trends Report 2025
Ivan’s commitment to the industry was demonstrated through the release of the iGaming Trends 2025 report. This is a 100+ page forecast based on over 53,000 media sources and expert insights.
Outside of business, Ivan has supported Corporate Social Responsibility activities. He has led relief efforts for communities affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil and Storm Boris in Poland, including charitable donations, educational initiatives and employee-led campaigns for global solidarity.

The title of Best iGaming Influencer of the Year was awarded to Rubens Barrichello, a former Formula 1 driver who joined SOFTSWISS in 2024 to help lead the company’s expansion across Latin America. His presence gave local credibility and international visibility to SOFTSWISS’ efforts.
Over the past year, Rubens has actively represented SOFTSWISS at major industry events, taking to the stage at public lectures and hosting VIP racing experiences for customers.
He has also led impactful initiatives such as the Help Brasil campaign, launched to support communities affected by devastating floods in Rio Grande do Sul. Barrichello also recently debuted on SOFTSWISS Excellence Talks, a YouTube podcast featuring global leaders and visionaries in sports, technology and business.
