The communication and public relations campaign of the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR) was one of the honorees in one of the most respected awards in the area of Public Relations in the world, the PRWeek Global Awards.
Thus, the work developed by the Sherlock Communications agency was classified as “Highly Commended” in the “Issues and Crisis” category, and also came in second place in the category.
IBJR wins award after a little over 1 year of operation
Sherlock’s work with IBJR was also a finalist in the Best Campaign – Latin America category.
Betfair, a founding member of the IBJR which is also served by Sherlock Communications, was a finalist in the categories: “Product Brand Development” and “Global Event Activation”.
The bookmaker further expanded its prominence in the sports betting sector in the awards.
“It is an honor for our entity. It is a recognition of the work carried out by IBJR. But also of how the world observes the regulatory environment that Brazil is building for the sector”, said André Gelfi, president of IBJR.
The awards ceremony, which took place last Wednesday (15), in London, brought together relevant personalities to celebrate and reward achievements in the public relations sector. “We are extremely honored by these appointments,” said Patrick O’Neill, managing partner at Sherlock Communications.
“These recognitions are a reflection of our daily commitment to exceeding our customers’ expectations and the passion we have for effective and assertive communication”, he continued.
Launched in March 2023, the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming was created to support the responsible development of the Brazilian gaming market.
Thus, a safe regulatory environment was created for the consumer, sustainable for the sector and healthy for the Brazilian economy. The Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming currently has 16 companies (11 members and 5 associates).
