This Thursday 23rd, the SPORTEL Awards unveiled the Official Selection of names for the Georges Bertellotti Golden Podium Awards 2021. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 5th, during the awards ceremony at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
The selection process was very difficult for the commission, which had to judge videos from around the world, such as the UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Italy, Spain, USA, among other countries.
The abundance of international sports competitions in the last 12 months has ensured a large number of beautiful images to compete in the different categories: Best Slow Motion Award, Innovation Award, Best Promotion Program and Christian Blachas Advertising Award.
SPORTEL Awards jury is made up of sports and media personalities
The jury members, all drawn from the world of sports and the media, were chosen because of their reputation, their commitment to institutional organizations and their ability to determine the most outstanding records of sporting events broadcast over the past year to more than a billion viewers .
Chaired by world athletics champion Muriel Hurtis, the 2021 jury is composed of the following names: Samir Ait Said, sports champion, Jacques Cardose, Communications Director of Olympique de Marseille, UFC heavyweight champion, Ciryl Gane, diver, photographer and filmmaker Julie Gautier, Olympic medalist fencer Astrid Guyart and Yvette Lambin, General Secretary of the Monaco Olympic Committee.
In front of an audience of sports personalities, Olympic medalists and champions of various disciplines, spectators will watch the prestigious Georges Bertellotti Golden Podium award. The Autobiography Award will be presented to former Danish football player Peter Schmeichel, considered one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, for his book: “ONE: My Autobiography”.
